Professor Handel will take 6 of you out to lunch at a location of your choosing (with his approval, of course). Don’t worry – no tax talk required!
Café Strudel. DiPratos. Le Peep. Gourmet Shop. Professor Fox’s House. What do all these places have in common? They all can serve you brunch. Here’s the rub, only one of them will give you a specialty brunch cocktail and have seating immediately available for your Party of 8.
Professor Eisenberg invites 4 of you to be her guests at her house as she takes you on a Moroccan food adventure. She will also be providing drinks to compliment the cuisine.
Professor Joel Samuels will host a group of up to five students for a seven-course dinner prepared by him in front of you. Yes: you can bring some ingredients a la Iron Chef or Chopped – but remember you will have to eat them so make sure you pick things you’d be open to trying. Otherwise, he will plan the menu and let you sit back and relax.
This package includes two-1 hour swing or lindy lessons (your choice) from Professor Melton for the successful bidder and a partner, then a night of swing dancing at one of the Palmetto Swing Dance Association dances on Monday nights at the American Legion on Pickens Street.
Well, not quite. But close. Professor Lad Boyle, who as a hobby owns and works with historic printing presses, offers an original Law School Class of 2017 print. The print is already signed by members of the Law School faculty. It’s a unique piece of law school memorabilia that would fit well next to your diploma (that’s something you can’t buy.) (Also available for the Class of 2018 and the Class of 2019.)
Tired of hitting the books? Try hitting something else for a while. Blow off some steam with two hours of kickboxing instruction from Prof. Seth Stoughton, a former professional martial artist. You and up to nine friends will strap on the provided hand wraps and learn the fundamentals of movement, basic punches and kicks, and exciting combinations in a safe, controlled environment. You’ll practice your moves on hand-pads and heavy bags—not on each other—and you’ll almost certainly get some great selfies for that new Law School Ninja Instagram page you’ve been thinking about. No experience necessary and all fitness levels welcome. (Minimum four people; time and place are flexible.)
Have your picture or the picture of someone/thing you love drawn by the very talented Professor Means. It can be your pet, your home, the law school, or YOU…your options are limitless….but lets not get crazy.
Join Professor Josh Eagle for an outing to Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. Up to five students will join Professor Eagle for a wildlife conservation talk through the zoo and lunch!
Professors Dalzell and Leventis will host up to 4 students for a progressive dinner along Columbia’s Main Street. Enjoy their favorite selections at a few of the great venues not typically frequented by law students. Trust them, it’s fun, scenic and delicious.
